    • Responsible for planning standards-aligned ELA and History content for middle students at AIMS Middle School. Utilize the backward planning method to create rigorous lessons that capitalize on Design Thinking. 

    • Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis.

    • Youngest elected City Clerk for the City of Antioch, CA. Selected by the voters to a 4-year term beginning December 2020.

    • As City Clerk, I am responsible for preparing and distributing City Council agendas, recording and maintaining the proceedings of City Council meetings, and performing or coordinating various other administrative and secretarial duties for the City Council.

    • Serve as the Elections Official for general and special elections, responding to requests for public records maintenance of the City’s Municipal Code.

    • Establish community workshops and other engagement opportunities to expand civic participation in shaping local public policy, including all city boards and commissions.

  • Antioch Unified School District, Antioch, CA

    • Youngest elected representative to the Antioch Unified School District Board of Education, a district with a budget of $210 million, 17,000 students, and 24 school sites. 

    • Work collaboratively with five other board members to manage top-level staff, including the Superintendent.

    • Initiate or contribute to education policy creation, fiscal, and strategic planning, as well as decision-making for staffing, confidential student issues, and district-wide policy, protocols, and initiatives.

    • Prepare and disseminate information on existing and new housing and homelessness prevention programs; communicate the information to county health and human services agencies verbally and in writing by various mechanisms. 

    • Provide timely and accurate program consultation services and technical assistance to counties. Analyze data to evaluate programmatic outcomes and expenditures. 

    • Develop and disseminate statewide housing and homelessness prevention program implementation guidelines and best practices Research innovative and promising housing and homelessness prevention program designs.

    • Participated in a summer internship with the Office of the Director, which oversees the development, operation, coordination, integration, and implementation of the County’s health services and public health functions and is the largest department in the County.

    • Lead multidisciplinary teams in several initiatives, such as “Envision Health” and the “Green and Healthy Homes Initiative,” which look at the future of healthcare and how to best adapt to a changing landscape of health needs.

    • Researched and tracked upcoming legislative policies that have a health impact, with specific attention paid to those policies which affect our most vulnerable populations.

    • Collaborated with several other departments around the development of the County’s 2040 General Plan updates to ensure there was a health focus.

  • Antioch Unified School District, Antioch, CA

    AUGUST 2016 - JUNE 2018 

    • Collaborate with the Coordinator of Community Engagement to develop, implement and analyze stakeholder feedback surveys and focus group meetings.

    • Research and produce Local Control Accountability Plan research summary identifying the theory of action and supporting literature for each action item.

    • Create and implement intelligence dashboards to displays.
